Tiny Home

Posted by [email protected] on Jan. 27, 2026  /     2

Looking for any information that anyone might have on tiny homes. We have a proposal for 4 units at 168 Sf on a commercial property to be charge for a nightly rate 365 days a year. At this point they are calling the units tiny homes but that does not line up with the tiny house code. It appears to be a accessory structure with electric, a mini-split and smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. Questions that have came up due to the fact that we have not dealt with this is is restroom and bathing facilities, fire department access.

Simi-permeant Food Stans/trailers

Posted by Rod Haney on May. 8, 2025  /     0

Was wondering how other jurisdictions we're handling food trailers being placed at a permanent location. They are still on wheels and are only being moved to special events two to three times a year. The location also includes small storage building and picnic tables.rnIn the past we have required placements of these food trailers. To provide ADA parking and access pathway to the order counter.rnThis week one of my permanent food vending trailers moved to a new location that is a gravel parking lot. Which does not have compliant ADA parking or access pathway to the order counter. rnQuestion? rn Does your jurisdiction require ADA compliance for these types of permanent placements.rnOrrnOr would your jurisdiction accept reasonable accommodation. Such as a drive-up ordering station with car side service.rnThat may address accessibility to the food trailer however does not allow for the use of the picnic tables.rnrnLet me know your thoughts on this subject. rnRod Haneyrn

Agri Business licenses?

Posted by Amy N. Barenklau on Aug. 16, 2023  /     0

Please respond to my email if possible [email protected] We are looking at an agri-business in our jurisdiction and do not currently have a business license and requirements specifically for this type of business. I am interested in any help our network might be able to provide so I don’t recreate the wheel. Does your jurisdiction require any type of business license for agritourism or agriculture busineses? If so, would you please provide a link to the requirements or applications….or attach any helpful documents. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
